Hope those power lines in the back ground were not damaged.

Power lines were about a mile away. The crowd was about 150 feet away. Besides, it was only 50 lbs of Boomerite and twenty gallons of gasoline. The crater was 18 inches deep. After the opening fireball, the crowd settled down on the firing line and took out 1800 lbs of Boomerite in 4 inch by 4 inch boxes from 400 to 700 yards away.
Perfectly safe. The event organizers have been doing this for 20 years. The two times the medical professions on hand were not completely bored were an asthma attack and a broken ankle.
You did not lie, that was restrained! Why not do it at dusk with fireworks if you truly are thankful?

Seriously, 2019 event is on May 5. I do the event as a charity auction item benefiting a specialty school for kids with dyslexia. The auction winners this year had never even fired their rifle. We squared away their rifle and scope and had them ringing gongs at 700 yards within a couple hours. It’s in Idaho, but there were participants from Ontario and Maryland this year.
We need a night fire, tracer night fire mad minute with automatic weapons.
Meh, get with the US 4th Armored Division and give us a 21 120mm M256 gun salute.
