Hello there,

So, this is as the title says a request but not really. Ever since I have the game I've noticed something that has bothered me. The model of the religious councillor seems to be clipping.

I've checked the texture and models and I noticed that that little bit of cloth before and under the knees is a continuous little texture. Which I may be wrong but seems to indicate that that's a continuous piece of cloth that goes from about the wait straight down to the knee. A bit like this:

You can also see it on the texture files and if you dig for early release pictures of the game you can see that section is not there, so one thinks it was an addition to the model.

Now I actually thought That I could fix this. I mean, it is probably a matter of nudging that little piece of the model/ anim a little bit forward.

I do my research and I find out that the older models until around conclave I think are in .xac/.xsm formats which are proprietary. There's some attempts at converter for other games, but nothing seems really usable in this case. I go to the website of EMotion FX and I get greeted by a message that says that they are now part of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine, that is both .xac and .xsm! And then upon further reading I find that Lumberyard is free!!!

Now I installed it and all trying to finally open the anim file but I just could not do it. It is not that it does not work, I am just not knowledgeable about how to set it up appropriately. I just get an error in the part where it tries to get the asset database.

That's it. I just don't know enough to do it myself. So I would hope somebody more apt could do the fix.

That being said I know that it is a huge time and memory investment for something so small (Lumberyard is 8.46 GB) and I really don't anyone to do it. But this means that there's a new world of possibilities to work and mod the early animations and models of the game!

And I just wanted to let everyone know about it.

PS: I am not sure I can share the links here but if you want to check it for yourself just check Amazon Lumberyard and EmotionFX website to see the messages about them joining.
