A question on HoI3 Collection - Steam.

Gents,
I bought the HoI3 collection today. The first thing I did was to register the games here. I realized that one of the registerable games was "Hearts of Iron 3 Collection". But Steam doesn't give me a CDKey for that. Only for HoI3, Semper Fi and FtM. Is there any way that I can acquire that CDKey?

Thats strange have u tried contacting steam about it? I got the collection a little while ago just havent installed it yet becouse i'm still playing my HPP semperfi game so i havent had a look at it yet

it is the only way. only steam can give you a key but whatever you bought since you already got keys for all three games i really doubt you get a fourth one. the collection is something different (sold on gamersgate?). steam can do nothing in that case since they have done nothing wrong. you did.

That's precisely what I expected as well, but it seems that Steam supplies the keys individually for each game irrespective of its 'Collection' status. As for Steam support, try it if you want but I suspect that you're better off leaving well enough alone.

the recently released HOI3 Collection (Boxed) and a bit before released HOI3 Collection on Gamersgate is the game "HOI3 Collection". The version on steam is just a grouping of all HOI3 Games/Expansions, and if you group something, you collect things so the result is called a "collection".

I hope you get what i mean, the term collection refers to something else on steam.

Anyway, it doesn't make a difference if you have 3 key's for the seperate games or just one in my opinion

no, you did get what you purchased. that two different distributors chose the same name is irrelevant.

use the key from the HOI3 game here that will work steam is just well steam impulse was good then game stop bought em

Contacting the people from who you bought the game should always be your first choice. Since they are the ones that need to provide you with the correct key.

Have you right clicked on the game item in your list of games, in the client. Then selected VIEW CD KEY?

If there is no option for CD KEY then in all likelihood it hasnt been assigned one - YET. SotS2 was delayed in getting the keys allocated. Though if you cant wait, mail them or post their forums and ask if there will be codes posted to register the game here. If their answer is NO, then contact PDX support and see if they can help you.
