When people trying MP are unable to login with their forum name and password to the metaserver, where should they be officially be looking for support? I've assumed it doesn't constitute a bug since the majority of users have no issues logging into metaserver. But is it an issue best reported in the tech support section for individual games? Should they post here in Forum Help? I've been telling people to PM a forum admin/manager such as Castellon or Kallocain, was that the best advice?

An official note that I can post in the case of the V2 MP section would be much appreciated. :)

Although there are support forums for the games, when I ran the support forums I mostly referred MP support questions to the MP forum.
The guys that are MP pros are in that forum and the best equipped to help.
Failing that they can log a ticket at Paradox.zendesk.com
PMing me or Kallocain for any kind of support issue is not a good idea, I get so many PMs a day now that I have stopped giving any kind in depth support and started referring people to the appropriate sub forum or zendesk.
AndrewT is our main forum support guy, if you make a thread and it is not getting any help you could ask him to take a look, he has enough juice to move it up the ladder.

No, don't PM anyone, as Castellon says the people that tend to get PMed are ludicrously busy and not the best and fastest form of help.

The core requirements to successfully log into the metaserver are

1/ it be up
2/ they have the most current version/expansion/patch of that game
3/ the base game and latest expansion for it be registered here
4/ their checksum be right
5/ they are using their forum name and password (which are case-sensitive)
6/ they have used the golden lock icon on the game in MyGames to send their forum password to the metaserver

All but 1/ are in the control of the user. Whatever issues they are having with any of those requirements can usually be dealt with in either the Tech Support or MP forum of the game concerned, unless it's a forum issue where here is the appropriate place. Any further escalation should happen by logging a ticket at paradox.zendesk.com .
