Nicely done. Very good and interesting read. Keep it up (don't pull the "I'm bored, time to try, say, Korea in the new IGC")

Thank you kindly. As I may have already mentioned. This is, in fact, an older game that I was playing that has just come back to life. All the notes at the moment are ones I took at the time so there isn't any new game play for the moment. I'll probably bring this one up to a certain date and restart the game at a suitable juncture. Knowing the game a little better now I may actually work more on the hyper-inflation I'm suffering at the moment.

What's more the "Early days" are featured in another thread since this one actually started after 1492 and I suspect that I may concentrate on that one for the time being before I take this one into the late 17th century and beyond to FtG.

More years of peaceful discovery and colonisation

For the rest of the year, little more of note happens. In June we send another letter is sent to Mysore (-106 to –89) as a way to increase our ties with the Indian nations bordering our fledgling colony. A further 5000 troops are raised in New Prussia and Hochdorf’s expedition discovers the region of El Paso. With our trading post in Arkansas we have now almost closed of the interior of the continent from other explorers, needing just Yazoo to complete the tie to restrict England and Netherlands to the coast.

In September, news arrives that Russia has declared war on Sibir.

1630

In January, Scotland pays 242D to England for peace and the war is once again at an end without any fighting on our part. Viewing the world we see that the province of Malacca is free in the east and Georg Friedrich places top priority on it being claimed for Prussia. We send a trader immediately in the spring

A gift of is sent to the maharajah of Mysore(-95 to –68) and Blucher discovers Pinalero in New Prussia..

August brings us the heartening news that a second refinery has been opened in Western Prussia and news arrives our in Bayou has successfully been established just a day after the death of Moltke, who will go down in history as the greatest explorer of modern times having completely mapped the largest single tract of land than any other before him.

His protégé, Blucher discovers Arizona towards the end of the year and a trader is sent to Yazoo as news arrives that our trading post in Malacca was successful..

1631

We now take stock of our colonial objectives. Our priorities for the next few year are now to increase our colony in Cochin, expand Malacca to a colony and to colonise our southern American lands while trading posts are established in the lands to the north of Arkansas.

Further discoveries in New Prussia reveal the lands of Canyon, Salton and San Bernadino to Blucher.

A settler is sent to Malacca and as news arrives of our failed trading expedition to Yazoo, a further trading party is sent.

In summer, Sibir accepts peace with Russia giving up the province of Orsk and the sum of 65D. A further war breaks out in the eastern mediterannean as the Mameluks (Russia, Algiers, Persia, Denmark, Moldovia) declares war on Cyrenaica (Hedjaz)

A letter is sent to Mysore (-78 to –61)

1632

News arrives at the start of the year that Wladyslaw IV Wasa has been crowned in Poland and that our colonisation attempt of Malacca fails. A further group of colonists are sent

Blucher discovers Sierra Madre and has nopw reached the border with English controlled Monterrey. In Havanna, Osterrode borders transports to discover areas of South America.

Our second attempt to establish a trading post in Yazoo fails and more traders are sent.

By the end of the year, Osterrode has arrived in South America and discovers the province of Cartegina.

1633

At the beginning of the year we hear news that our colony in Malacca colony has been successfully established. A further colonist is sent to Cochin in India where the king is particularly keen to see our presence increased. He writes a further letter to their ruler hoping that we can continue our peaceful co-existence in the region (-74 to –57)

As the growth of trade in the province of Tago continues, we make an effort to establish a strong control over this trade. During the course of the year, we repeatedly send merchants to the region and gain a monopoly by kate summer

Great news arrives from South America when Osterrode discovers the province of Yarumal. Gold has been found in the region and the king declares that this shall belong to Prussia. The natives are politely asked to move away from this rich source of income and I make a note to develop this region so that we may claim it as soon as we are able. and natives killed. It is rich in gold and the king orders that we claim this land as soon as we can.

During the year, we open a national bank in Prussia (Random Event: loans increased to 500D). It seems unusual that we already have a greater source of income from our stock exchange with loans available at much better rates. I do not foresee that we will be using the services of the bank

Later in the year, Osterrode discovers the province of Tocuvo on Northern coast of South America. We make a note to establish a trading post in the region as soon as we are able and a trading party is sent before the year is out.

In September our stock exchange loans expire and one of these is repaid.

News from the admirals inform us that we have now perfected the use of the compass. Our development activity is transferred back to the army where the work on musket weapons are underway. However, we do not expect to complete these developments for many

News arrives at the end of the year that our colony in Cochin has expanded

Here's a few more screenshots

North America in 1634
South Asia in 1634

Just a few comments:

North American lands are now safely sealed off: Aren't they?;)
Is the king good or what?
Prussia now has two colonies in Asia. The orange area below Cochin is a Navarran trading post. The green area isolated on the Arabian peninsula is Venice and Poland owns a few parts of east africa as well as Ambrovombe in Madagascar.

As for the colours, the Hedjaz and Oman have the same colour. Oman still owns it's original provinces while Hedjaz has taken the rest
