With the start of the new semester I find myself in an interesting position. After finishing a variety of social studies I see Political Science looming over the horizon. Earlier I had asked my teacher if he had ever considered a Geo-Pol sim in his class or something related to that. His answer was no but he is very apt to introducing such a thing into the class if someone else had the initiative to set up the framework for the idea. As soon as I knew this I immediately thought of EU and Victoria, what better way to span nearly eight hundred years of political intrigue and social change?

Here is where I’d like to ask people here for help, such a mod would most likely need to include a variety of custom events and a more centralized focus than the GC. In fact, a number of shorter scenarios each with a theme would probably be one of the best ways to go about it. I don’t think anyone here would disagree with me that getting this into the classroom would rock.

If I was going to do something like this then I’ll need some help. I understand the format of events and could probably figure out the majority of things, but this is pretty intimidating for me being a first time modder. So I’d like to know if anyone here would be willing to help me in this. Work would include writing events, discussing what should be included etc…

Thanks. :)

I wouldn't get my hopes too high upon this. It is not that political science and geopolitics is the GAZ for everybody... I think you would be better off spending your time playing the game yourself and showing off to the teacher how much you know about history and geopolitics.

I think you missed the point, the class itself is 'Political Science'; an elective my school offers. I've already talked to my teacher about something like this and he agreed that such a simulation on the computer might be a good way to get across certain points he makes in the curriculum. As he hasn't had a chance to do something like this, he's willing to give it a shot. Other people in the class are adept at computing to the point that they may take to the mechanics easily enough.

Hopefully that explains a little more.
