A Polish Question

Why is it that the Polish Navy only allows like 4 named carriers of any make and model before switching to " CV. 4" or whatever and better yet how can I change this so it wont happen in game...


I know how to change ship names in game... but is there a file to alter actual ship names when they come up in game so instead of "CV. 4" it could be like ORP Sokol

You can rename the individual character by clicking on the name of the carrier and typing what you want as a replacement.

Shipnames are listed in db\unitnames.csv:

POL;CV;ORP Jan Dyckman
POL;CV;ORP Wladyslaw IV
POL;CV;ORP Polska

You need to add some more.

Just download this little mod. It adds new ship names to Poland and 60 other nations. Readme is in Polish but to instal it just copy and paste unitnames file to db folder.
If you are interested I can also give you link for mod that adds new model names for Poland.

If I remember corectly this little mod does not change checksum or cause any problems with other mods, at least from my experience.
