Have you even tried this mod? Japan gets like 30 events and various possibilities for war with Russia and/or China, its involvement into the Great War, etc...


Can you give me a suggestion of 'interesting stuff' I could do with Japan?

What I'm talking about is bigger changes to gameplay than "here, have some new events.". Events are nice but it would be interesting to see a mod which tried to do something different with Japan for once. Japan can't always develop the same way, can it?

I'm sorry, I probably brought this up in the wrong thread. I just want to see some mod really try to give a different dynamic to Asia, and to change the way Japan works on a deeper level than what events can do. It's nothing personal.

in this mode dose germany still controle north east papa newgine and the group of pasific Ilands arond it seeing that they wode not have lost them to Australian forces During WW1 the same for its african colanys that wher lost to the uk france porchagle and south africa (i am not 100% positve about south africa)

Just one niggle, Grant: looking at your map, Egypt seems to be part of the British Empire. It should in fact be quasi-independent; a puppet of Britain of course (like Iraq) but an independent nation nonetheless.

Britain should own & control Suez, and both her & Egypt should have cores on the Canal.

The only problem with that, is AI Britain won't defend Egypt against Italy.

If your going to claim realism, it should still be Ottoman ... but that would be totally insane

I would be foor a puppet Egypt, but it would just be overrun by Italy, as the British AI won't come to its aid.

You could do what SMEP did, and have Egypt as a three province puppet (Centered around Cairo)

What led to the evacuation of British troops from Egypt in this year was the Italian invasion of Ethiopia in the previous months. Wich obviously didn't happened in this world and so I don't think it would be coherant to include it in the mod.

And Arab nationalism spred across the Arab world after the Arab revolt which happened during WWI in Ottoman areas. Without WWI, no Arab revolt and no Arab nationalism, I would say.

I didn't know where to post my map mod, but since I used the map from this mod I thought I'd post it here.

I fixed Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Albania, and Greece. If anyone wants it I will upload it somewhere. The modded province.csv file and province_names.csv file are from Mod33. I haven't changed the files for the vanilla version, sorry.
I DID NOT add the islands around Dalmatia nor did I draw Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, and Moldova. That credit goes to the designer of the PTEAP v0.61 map maker.

stonecold316: Your work is very good. But more than anything it shows that you are definatly able of map modding, and thus, if you would like to help me, we could work together on improving the map for this mod?

I'd have several ideas, not including too many new provinces. Mostly:

-Finishing touches to the Balkans
-New map of Germany (with the much-needed fixes in Prussia and Alzace-Lorraine)
-New map of Spain?
-Reworking Italy a bit

Mainland Spain have 24 provinces. It should not be more than 30 (don't merge islands to get more provinces in Spain proper, I don't want it to be more detailed than France).
