The Alans are Tengri in 769 and some provinces in 867, but in reality they had their own religion. This religion could be called "Uatsdin" or simply Alan or Scythian. The religion could be based on the Ancient Scythian religion and the modern Ossetian neo-paganism, which is based on the old traditions of Ossetians. They could still function much like Tengrism.
