Let me guess, that problem is as follows:

Your X nation, and you have just gotten quest for the new world, or you are within range of an unclaimed territory. You send colonists, and begin to build it up.

After getting two or three colonies, the game suddenly freezes and crashes. You reload, and are either able to play for five seconds or at most an hour, before the game crashes again.

If thats the case, I have a sorta of patch job that works to a point. No ideal why.

Set Autosave to monthly, that way when the game crashes you just start off at the begining of the month you were in. Its also lowered the chances of there being an automatic crash after I load a game.

Its really pissing me off...I want to start getting hoardes of Irish-Canadians!!

Well I guess I have to wait a week to get it. I swear I registered my game when I first got it from Gamersgate. I don't want to reload I just want a patch. Why is it so hard to get a patch? I tried to get 4.1b but all I find in my searches are these torrent sites that I have no luck with. I am not a spammer and I paid my money. I refuse to start another game and have my heirs die all the time and not be able to westernise with the muslims. I love this game and play it non stop. I finished my last one and all I want is a simple patch before I start another one. These games last way too long to not wait for the next fix. I guess I will have to visit back here in 5 business days. Why does it take that long to validate a CD key?

I suppose that this is naturally incompatible with saves from the previous version? Ah, well. I guess I can do a second installation.

Can't resist the changes to diplomatic annexations. -1 stability is far more desirable than +1 decentralization.

You can find your EU3 registration key at gamersgate (login and look under 'My Games'). Just register it at 'My Games/Registrations' on this forum and you can download the beta patch. If you can't register somehow you'll have to wait till they release an official and final 4.1 patch.

That is what I did. The error message I got said that it takes five days to verify cd keys if this is my first game in order to prevent spam. I used to play Victoria and I have been playing this one since it came out. I had thought I entered it then but I guess not. I know I had to enter it for something. I am just fustrated that I have to wait five days to start my game now. No biggie. I guess I need to chill. Maybe I can figure out these torrent sites and just get 4.1b.

I wish that they would reduce the frequency that AI nations would request "releasing nations" in peace negotiations with other AI nations. Some of the changes in HTTT (like the frequency with which armies are destroyed) along with this, and some other AI dynamics, causes lots of minors in certian areas (like France).

i think it's really weird to have a big power getting gangbanged by 10+OPM-TPM , they occupy a province and ask for the release of 2 nations ... till the former huge blob big guy is a 3 province minor
