Hey guys, this is Third-Prophecy. This'll be my First-AAR, but I've read quite a few others, so I'm not (completely) hopeless.
Anyway, a little bit of history about the addition of the Confederate General this will center around.

Field Marshal Daniel "Fang" Wolf was born in San Antonio, Texas, on April 4th, 1900. He joined the CSArmy 17 years later, managing to catch the tail-end of the Great War.
In two years, he went from Lieutenant to colonel, somehow surviving the brutal battles the Entente put his unit through.
In 1920, he took full command of his division, and led the fragmented force to a crushing victory in conjunction with Canadian and British forces.
Through the remaining four years of the Great War he went through the ranks rather quickly, making it to Major General in neck-break time. After the previous presidential administration "reformed" the Confederate military, he managed to hold to his career, and as the new administration took power, he was elevated to Field Marshal rank, and is currently President Ehringaus's personal military advisor, second only to the Secretary of Defense.
He is called "gifted" in his strategies and tactics, and has been equated many times to Alexander The Great. This man is the youngest Field Marshal in the world.

There, sorry if that was a bit long. Anyway, my updates will have two halves, and should be usually posted at about once a week. (Maybe more, depending on the conditions. Maybe less, I'm a very busy person.)

Chapter 1 - Brothers
--------------

"General! Welcome, Welcome. Please, sit down!" President John Ehringaus said animatedly.
"Hello, Mr.President." Wolf replied, taking the seat the President gestured to.
The long table was pure oak, and sported a large canvas-and-wood map of the Mexican border, with several force markers.
The table was surrounded by the powerful men in politics, but here and there several generals, new guard and old, sitting and waiting for the President to continue his speech.
The walls were a carpeted black, to keep noise in. A handy trick to keep any listeners outside the door guessing.
The President finally sat at the head of the table.
"Boys, we have ourselves an opportunity." He said, grinning like a devil.
"Europe is tensing up, the Germans are starting to get their balls back, and the Brits and French are scared to death."
Wolf looked around the room with his dark green eyes, measuring the grinning from the men around him.
"The damn Yanks are demilitarized to hell, and are trying to make everyone else follow suit - or at least they were." The President measured a careful yawn that didn't fool Wolf - or any of the other military men - into thinking him relaxed.
"They're starting to see their mistakes. Our people in their works are telling us they're running their dusty factories again."
Wolf stood when the President gestured to him.
"General Wolf will tell us the plan."
He nodded for him to speak.
"The Mexicans have been quiet a bit restless lately. They've been contesting the Rio Grande with us for decades." He said, leaning out to the table to push several unit markers around.
"The President and I think it's time we put the issue... to rest." He said.
"We will assault across the Rio Grande." He said.
Several of the generals and politicians shifted uncomfortably.
"How?" Gates asked, his large ears and sharp face giving him a mousey appearance.
"It will come in two parts, and, of course, we must wait for the two new Divisions to come off the line before hand."
He gestured to two markers on New Orleans.
"A Cavalry division and an infantry division will be picked up and landed on Merida. This will surprise the Mexicans, and we can make it to Mexico City before you can yell 'MADRE DE DIOS!'" He shouted.
They laughed at his joke, and the grins that were produced made Wolf smile in turn.
"Anyway... Two Cavalry divisions in San Antonio, One Cav in Corpus, along with my infantry. Then two more infantry in El Paso and Midland. We may even be able to put one in Cuidad Juarez to cover that flank." He shook his head to stress the unlikeliness of it.
"The forces in San Antonio and Corpus Christi will be the main break-through force. If the forces in Midland up can move in, then they'll move down along the west side of the mountains and help us keep the Mexicans running."
He caught his breath for a moment.
"We don't have an Air Force, so how will we keep them from stalemating us?" The President asked.
Wolf smiled.
"Speed. Surprise. If we can overwhelm them in Tampico or Monterrey, we have it." He tilted his head.
"But if we don't cross, the forces from Merida will have a field day. They can't front a two-front war." He sat down.
The President smiled, standing again.
"Thank you, General Wolf. It's a good plan, and it has my approval."
Wolf nodded happily.
"Gentlemen, for now we are done here. Wolf, I want you to organize everything ASAP. If all goes well, we'll be able to get the most out of this war."
The meeting was convened, but the President beckoned for Wolf to stay.

"Yes, Mr.President?" He asked wearily.
"Fang," The President began, "If all goes well, my plan will go into effect." He said simply.
Wolf widened his eyes in surprise.
"John, you said you would only do this in your last days of office..."
"Fang, this is the perfect opportunity. Congressmen Lucard is planning something, and when he tries to do whatever-it-is, I can take this place over." He said.
Wolf nodded, his eyes closing.
"Wolf, you're going to be my man in the shadows. You'll be a hero, but not until this country is where it should be." He said.
"John, you're nearly my brother but... Is it worth it?"
John Ehringaus, President of the Confederate States of America nodded.
"Britain will be ours. And for the first time, the CSA will not be a joke. I will strip freedoms for now, but when I am done... We, Fang, are going to be heroes." He said.
"This is your last chance to back out, Fang."
Wolf shook his head, saying "No... I said I was with you. I still am. I just hope you know what you're doing John."
The president reached out a hand and set it on Wolf's shoulder.
"No, we're brothers now, Wolf." He grinned.
"Brothers and villains. But some day, Heroes."

End of Story Half

The Goal of this AAR is to establish the CSA as a Superpower. This can be done many ways, yes, (and I'm surely not going for "world conquering") but what I'm going for is this:
To have full cores on all of North America (Canada, USA, Mexico, Central American States) At least part of South America, and Europe.
This'll mean, more than likely, me fighting all THREE major alliances, either on my own or with allies I drag into the fight.

But not only is this AAR about the fighting and action, it'll be about the stories of Field Marshal Daniel Wolf and his men. I'll have narratives of Wolf, and many many other independent (and dependent) characters. From a British Pilot to a civilian Refugee in the 'States.

Anyway, here's my Tech.
Tech-1.png

I'm going to first and foremost improve my Land and Air forces before I can even think about Navy.

Heres my Production...
Production.png

It's pitiful, I know, but hopefully it'll improve before I have to do any hard beans-to-bullets production with any major Powers.

Finally, my government, and the War Plan Wolf so flawlessly described.
WarPlan.png

Yellow = Sea Attack, Blue = Defense Line Red = Land Attacks

Government.png

I really need to increase Interventionism...

Anyway, more updates up-coming... One probably later today about the start of the Mexican-Confederate War!

Chapter 2 - Fang
--------------

Wolf sighed, looking out across the river he knew so well. The River he had seen many times as a child.
"Take a good look, boys." He said, turning around to look at his staff.
The night air was cool, but lacked the bite it had three months ago, when he had made the plan for the offensive.
The only illumination in the small brush to see by was a large lamplight that bugged Wolf terribly.
"We're going to cross here. As soon as the guys in San Antonio gear up right 'nough." He said, patting a young Lieutenant on the shoulder.
"In four hours we shove off," He looked over to his aide, "Make sure the boys are ready for what's comin'. Tell them to check their targets and make the shots count!" He looked back over the river.
"Let's go!" He shouts into the air.

***

The crumpp of artillery provided a tempo Seargent Sullivan Orange could set his watch to. Or at least, that's what he thought.
The Mexican side of the bank was pock marked with shell hole and in several places, broken bodies that seemed to fit into the darkness.
His small boat hadn't been shot at, yet, and his hopes were soaring - maybe he had been assigned to a point where the Mexicans were thin.
As soon as the small boat touched land, though, and his squad rushed up to the upwards slope of the bank, the sharp crack of a rifle made him duck.
A young boy - Private Smith, he thought - fell backwards, sliding into the water with a splash.
"COVER!!" He yelled just as more rifle fire began.
He crouched behind a bush, squinting to look out into the darkness.
A brief light followed instantly by a rifle crack brought a smile to his lips.
He raised his rifle and aimed carefully, firing only when he thought he had the crosshairs centered.
The weapon bucked satisfyingly, and a sharp, pained yell made him grin from ear to ear. "Open fire!" He shouted, and his men brought their own weapons up.
Their fire forced the Mexicans to rush back, possibly to a trench, he thought.
"Go get 'em boys!"
The squad rushed forward as one, a sharp crack followed by another of his men falling made him wince.
He knew these people... No time to mourn. He kept running forward.
He broke past some rocks and nearly fell into a trench the Mexicans had dug.
Two of them looked at him in surprise, pausing. He took the advantage and fired from the hip - he hadn't really needed to aim the shot, as the poor man in front of him collapsed without a cry.
He dived to the side, barely avoiding an answering shot from the second.
He was dimly aware of his men jumping into the trench as well, the pained cries of men wounded with bayonet passed over him as he worked the bolt on his gun.
The second man was frantically working his too, but it was Sullivan who won the race. He brought his weapon up and fired as the man finished chambering another round.
The man pitched backwards, hitting the trench firing step behind him and slumping to one side.
Sullivan was working the bolt when Corporal Benning rushed up to him, illuminated by the false dawn light.
"Sarge, we have the trench. We have some prisoners and a few wounded."
Sullivan nodded, catching his breath.
"Alright. Tell them all to bunk in, and have two of ours escort the prisoners and wounded over to the riverbank. We have time." He said.
They definitely had time.

Within first few days, the Mexican line was pushed back. Gates was nearly across the River, and Wolf was just now trying to move across.
He sighed, frustrated.
"General, sir, we've secured our positions across the bank, and we're already kicking the enemy out of Tampico." He said.
Wolf nodded, "Right then. Tell everyone across the Rio to keep driving the Mexicans back. We have the momentum. Now we just have to hold." He yawned.
The aide nodded, "I'll let them know, General sir."
"We've pierced them with the fangs, now to claw the will out of them..." He yawned once more, and, walking out to his personal tent, intended to sleep for a bit. He'd been up for two days...

I actually didn't expect it. But it worked for me. Next update will have some stuff from the Pres' view.

Anyway, on April 1st I got the two divisions, and about 2 hours later, I declared war. Thus the "false dawn" and late hours thing.

Actually, I was thinking that after I'm done I should line up against America, I don't want to let them have enough time to produce a crap load of soldiers. lol

Mmm... like, a dozen new Confederate states. (Mexico actually has states too.)

Anyway, a few more probably this weekend, then going to the normal schedule I announced in the first post XD

Chapter 3 - Claw
-----------

Sullivan managed to dive away as the Mexican MG Position lit his squad up. The trench system the Mexicans had made while Wolf had ordered a rest were dynamic. The trees and the brush added additional cover, plus the MG Positions...
Sullivan cursed as he fired another shot.
"Sir!" A soldier not from his squad hissed.
"What?!" He growled in response.
"We've been ordered to pull back and hold positions. Straight from the top, Seargent."
Sullivan cursed and then made the hand signals to the men who were watching.
His squad had been withered down a bit, but not much. Four men out of thirteen.
Too much for Sullivan, but the Lieutenant had told him he was better off than a few other squads.
As soon as they were clear of the lines his men jumped into their trench, cursing and griping.
"We should be in Mexico right now! It took us nearly an entire week to cross the damn river, and then now we get stopped by some damn Mexican troops that were supposed to be runnin'." Corporal Langdon growled.
"Can it, you know how fast Wolf is pressing them."
"Don't do nothin' to explain the current situation Sarge." He said.
Sullivan looked at him.
"You know the situation, Langdon. We're going to press them. Hard. Wolf won't send us unless he's sure we'll win next time."
"It's been almost two weeks Sarge." Benning said.
"I know how long I've been here!"
Sullivan sighed under the two men's gazes.
"Look, I'll talk to the Lieutenant." He growled.
"I'll talk to him. Don't know what you guys want me to talk to him about... but okay."
"Okay."

******

Wolf cursed savagely, savagely enough that the officers in the Field HQ stopped to look up.
He ignored them, and then leaned back.
He'd have to wait five more days before he could mount any other assaults. The reports said that the unit was having a hard time locating everyone. They said that he was moving too fast.
He wasn't. If he lost momentum so close to the Mountains, then he might have a long war.
He remembered something he had read once, in Officer Training Academy.
"I have heard of Campaigns that were clumsy and swift, but none that were skillful and slow."
Sun Tzu, he thought. Brilliant man.
He could wait five days, and truth be told, his men needed it... But five days!
The most part of a week spent waiting, with Gates up north screaming his head off to attack, even though his cavalry had broken upon the damned Mexican Defenses before the city itself.
"Fine." He conceded, talking to himself.
"They want combat, I'll give them combat. Major Werkst!" He called, an idea blooming in his head.
"Yes General?"
"Tell Gates to ready for an assault on the defenses stopping my forces in five days. Joint Strike. He comes in from the West, I come in from the East."
"Yes, General."
Gates was about to be one less obstacle.

*****

President John C.B. Ehringaus of the Confederate States of America was grinning like the cat that ate the canary.
He had control.
Lucard, the idiot, had made his move too soon, and he had been able to force congress into doing as he said!
Unlike his northern brother, he had no Supreme Court to deal with, and now...
He had control.
Looking out the Gray House window, staring at the fluttering CSA Flag, he saw the soldiers moving the bodies of several "resistors"
None of this news had gotten out of Richmond - yet - but even when it did, it wouldn't reach the soldiers on the Front until it was too late, and Wolf had them under his thumb.
His most recent telegram - carefully worded so that only he would understand - said that he already had most of the divisions under him loyal.
But Gates...
Gates would be removed, if not during the war, then after.
The President leaned back in his seat as another resistor was walked in front of a firing squad with the national anthem playing.
"...to live and die in Dixie!" Crack! Crack!

*****

The Mexicans were holding their own, even within the Trenches.
Sullivan took his bayonet out of an unfortunate soldier, and whipped around to smash the butte of his rifle into another's face.
All around him was the chaos of the melee.
The Cavalry had allowed the Mexican Trenches to be broken and the remnants encircled. Now, the Infantry was at work getting the pockets of Die Hards that wouldn't surrender.
He had heard that in the initial charge by the Cavalry, Gates had been shot by a Mexican sniper. He couldn't tell if it was true, but it didn't matter right now.
The soldier tried to slash with his bayonet, but Sullivan smacked it to one side and kicked him viciously in the knee.
The soldier howled, but recovered quickly, smashing Sullivan in the side of the chest, using his rifle as a club.
Sullivan went down, gasping for air, but was saved by the fact that the Mexican's vision was distorted through the blood pouring down his face.
The Bayonet blade landed inches from his ear.
Sullivan brought his own bayonet up and stabbed him under the ribs.
The man collapsed on top of him.
He growled as he pushed the corpse away, looking around as his men finished up the job.
His Lieutenant, the prick, had put him in the hot zone because he wanted him as far away as possible.
Atleast, Sullivan grimly thought, we won.

Okay, now I have control of the south banks of the Rio Grande. I am, in fact, right on the border (no pun intended) of Mexico City itself.
It's been a straight up month of fighting (Such as it is with the Mexicans, though, they have proved a challenge here.) and I'm on the verge of making the Overwhelming victory Wolf said would happen.
Here're my current positions:
CurrentPosition.png

with a month off the clock, I have 2 more months before my next (bigger) wave of infantry comes into effect. I should have Mexico under foot by then.

None of my techs have finished, but once I take a little bit more of Mexico, I'll have a fifth tech team (YAY!) that I'll devote to Rockets/Nuclear research.
This AAR has had a good start, so far, in my opinion.

Sorry for being a moron, but what mod are you using? (or is it secret )

Cool AAR

Its actually an older version of the New Nations mod (don't know how far back, like, one or two updates maybe.) with some added generals (I used the editor that came with the game) Wolf is the only one added to the CSA, but I have 2 generals in germany, named Lee and Nutting.
That's really my only changes.
It's also the Alternate World scenario that came with the NNMod. Really awesome, actually. I love the stuff they've done.
Anyway... The reason I haven't updated it all before this AAR is: 1: I'm lazy about that sort of thing, even if I wanted to, I'd keep forgetting about it. 2: I'm running a game with my father, who absolutely refuses to update it until we finish the game. and at the rate it's going, that will take MONTHS real-time.

And thanks, man. Hope you continue to enjoy it :p

[WARNING: I'm going to use the "freedom" cheat to make it a totally Authoritarian government, to simulate John's Coup de'tat.]

Chapter 4 - Remember This Day
-----------------

"Look, boys." Wolf said, gesturing wearily to the defense networks of Mexico City.
"We've made it."
He turned around to look at his men.
All of them had been boys once. But now? Everyone had seen someone die, but did that make them Veterans, or murderers? The question hung in the minds of every man in the area around Mexico City.
"Remember this day." He said, opening into a speech he was making up on this spot.
"Remember this day, for it is our independence day." He said.
On June 8th, 1861, Tennessee seceded from the Union, the last state to do so. That day, six years later, was declared independence day of the CSA.
"And by tomorrow, it will be Mexico's."
He closed his eyes
"Remember this day, not because it is a holiday. But because of the blood that has been spilled for centuries for it."
He opened his eyes too look at the men.
"Patriots such as Jeb Stuart, and Robert E. Lee made our independence possible."
He could feel tears welling up, and his vision was blurred.
"And it is men like us. Men like the ones in the trenches this fine night that make our independence continue."
"It's men like us, that will not only preserve this nation, but make it stronger."
He felt a tear begin to roll down his cheek, and he wiped it away, but refused to stop. He heard someone else crying.
"It's men like the soldiers here today that will bring this nation to the top! As will be proven tonight!"
"WE WILL TAKE OUR PLACE IN THIS WORLD!!" He turned to look out towards the trenches, shouting as loudly as he could so everyone could hear.
"WE WILL FIGHT, AND BLEED, AND DIE TO SHOW THAT WE WILL NOT BE PUSHED AROUND."
"NOT BY THE BRITISH." Breath
"NOT BY THE FRENCH." Breath
"AND MOST DAMNABLY NOT BY THE YANKEES!"
Everything was silent, for a moment.
Wolf sighed, turning away.
But then, suddenly, the entire line burst into an old Rebel Yell.
Gun fire punctuated the air as the soldiers cheered.
His staff roared their approval as well. Wolves, like him now.
His wolves, and the realization brought a small smile to his lips.
Wolf let it all wash over him, waiting for the ruckus to barely die down when he said, "We are coming for you, you damn Yankees. You can't hide behind your factories now."
"We will never forget this day."

Chapter - 5 Sit-And-Wait
----------------------

The generals, as opposed to the last meeting, now outnumbered the politicians.
President Ehringaus was smiling darkly, waiting as Wolf finished detailing his plan.
"Basically, we will cut them off from their center of supply. They do not yet have the forces to cover then entire border, and so, we can splice them in half..."
He pointed to Chicago, to a small town named Syracuse to the east of it, St. Louis, and then Boston.
"We can overwhelm and take Washington D.C. Hopefully, their government will retreat to New York, or some other nearby city. We'll surround it, and the Americans will fall apart." He yawns as he sits.
"This'll be easier with the Armored divisions that are being created."
"What about if they're stronger in the west?" One youn Ltn.General asked.
"We'll deploy our coming forces as needed. But we must expect the most resistance in the East."
The man nodded.
"Very well. In Spring, once the weather clears up... We attack." The President declared.
The Generals nodded.
They would have Washington.

John looked out at the crowd, nearly four months after the meeting. "congress" had just finished the document to be sent off to the Yankees. The Declaration of War.
"Too long, have we been stepped on." He begins, carefully scanning the speech beforehand.
"Too long have we been told we are scum. Too long told that we cannot have fighter planes, Tanks, or anything any 'modern' power had."
"We have had enough." He says, noticing a slight stir in the crowd.
"In twenty-four hours, the world will finally realize it. They thought our fight with Mexico was opportunistic... Well, now they'll see what it was really about."
He spread his arms open.
"All you great people, you have no need to fear anymore. No need to be angry, or to feel like the trash you have been told you were. Because you're not."
"And this, my friends, is why the world will fear us, and for the first time... Take us seriously."
"We will no longer stand in the shadows, fighting over the scraps thrown to us by the 'Powers'... but instead, they will fight over our scraps! We will take our place in this world, we've tried talk, but look where we are!"
"Just look."
He looked down, letting his arms drop.
He shakes his head, looking up with an angry expression. "In one day, the Confederate States of America - these proud people! - will show the world its power. And, finally, our enemies will realize their castles sit atop pillars of salt and sand! They will fall! Every last one!"
The crowd cheered.

Give the Yanks hell.

Do you have cores on USA territory?
Are you going to be germany's help from across the sea or its enemy?

More than likely I'll end up in a fight against the Axis. Because I really don't want to take sides in a Major Alliance (All that needs to happen is the war turning against it, then POW. I can't talk my way out of it)

I really don't know how long until things explode in europe - usually, in my games, it's pretty random.
One time, France declared war on a Germany in 1937
Ironically, one year later, France got trounced, it was funny to watch. (Especially since as USA I invaded Canada :p)
