This is a bit vague, I admit, but since I've heard Paradox fans are big history fans, hopefully someone will have heard of what I'm recalling, or be able to set me straight.
Ages back I was doing some reading about Britain, and one of the topics which briefly came up was some sort of... historical "kingdom" of Ireland and Scotland. From what I recall, I don't think it was a literal Kingdom, but more a "this is the name of that region composed of the island of Ireland, and the northern part of Britain".
I've been looking, but cannot find any reference to what I'm thinking of. The closest I've seen is "Goidelic", but that's about the language itself, rather than some way of referring to the area... So, am I just totally mis-remembering/misreading something I once read, or is there actually some old name for that region.
Any info/thoughts would be appreciated...
