A multiplayer bug. Is there any fixes?

Me and my friend haven't played in a while, and then yesterday we tried to play some Eu4 multiplayer..
But then this happend:
(He only gets to 1444.11.12 while i keep going)

I have no idea how to fix this bug.. please help


(edit: My friend with no dlcs is able to host a game but i (with all dlcs) cannot)

Yes we are in the same country and i know that my connection is good and his is at least decent. (I'll ask him)

We've played many hours in multiplayer so it seems strange that this happens now.
