I've been thinking this over for a little while, so here it goes;
What if we make the Domination of the Draka
(Think Apartheid South Africa on speed)
a nation within HOI2? If it is to be canon to SM Sterling's story, then the
Draka would have the ability to manufacture supersonic jets and bombers
by 1943...don't laugh, I'm serious! Technological leapfrogging aside,
would anyone who has an appreciation for SM Sterlings Draka Timeline consider helping me create a Eurasian war scenario (at the very least)? An extended tech tree would be appreciated, but isn't at all necessary. PLEASE consider this... I have little modding talent of my own, and that is why I'm extending my request to the excellent HOI2 modding community. A rapid response would be immensely appreciated!! :)

Its been talked about before, and I've taken a peek at doing it myself.

First off, I definitely don't see "supersonic jets and bombers" in 1943 Stirling jumps from a fairly conventional 1941 in Marching through Georgia to early air cavalry in post-war europe, but I saw no mention of craft capable of greater than mach one with that Finnish adventure. So even at the end of the war, we're well within the existing tech tree.

I've discussed using a model of the Citizen-class units adapted from the SS units in TRP with Lothos. As long as the system is credited, it should be possible to simulate Janissaries as the basic build type, with relatively low org, and high org units that may only be built by events to represent the cream of the crop - Citizen units from that limited manpower pool.

Manpower gain would be significant but not overpowering. I would recommend that all of Africa be given as cores, but not the relatively recent acquisitions of Ottoman territory, Persia, or Afghanistan.

Flashpoint would, of course be the Draka intervention in the Eurasian war. I would recommend a series of transport planes be loaded and ready to drop into the Caucausus at the opening of the campaign.
