A little help with the Crusader King achievement and the South African civil war

Hi, I’m doing an achievement run with South Africa and I am having a bit of trouble with the CK I achievement.

So far I’ve joined the axis when the WWII starts but by that time I’m only able to field a 24 army which barely can get to the Belgian Congo, where I get stuck against the allied troops. Moreover, Italy doesn’t seem to do well in North Africa and even if they did they are not willing to cede to me any province.

I read the wiki strat but it depends on to much RNG (Italy winning and somehow get enough war score with my mediocre army).

I also tried to stay neutral and backstab the brits and rush to Jerusalem but they stop me half way there and it comes to a stallment asw

Is there any other way? I was thinking maybe naval invade from Rhodes, getting a couple of subs there and as soon as the RN is occupied with the Italian marine launch the invasion.

What are your thoughts? How did you manage it?

Finally, one last question: which civil war is better to get, the German or the other? And what is the best strat to win it quickly and move on? So far I went with the German and all I do is let them run out of manpower attacking my forts and then I counterattack, but it takes me so long...

Last time i checked i believe the way to do this was instant flip to fascist using the civil war cheese mechanic where you delete your army
then take out portugal. then use portugal to naval invade into britain.

*edit, i believe doing this requires a rollback.
