A little confused about armor techs...

What do I need to research the actual tank techs that allow me to produce tank battalions? I got the "'35 Armor Bde" tech and a few of the medium and heavy tank prototype techs. At least, that's what I assume the (p) means. But how do I access the techs that let me make the tanks?

Remember to build tank guns (bottom right of tech screen). Click on the 9bn or 6bn tank threads and they'll show you what you have to build first bra.
