I am Aragon and have consolidated the Iberian peninsula with the exceptions of Portugal, Galacia (independent) and Cadiz/Gibraltar (England). England also owns 11 provinces in Africa and 3 in Europe (Armagnac (I have a core) and the 2 on the coast bordering Armagnac). So I launch a war of reconquest to consolidate Armagnac. After a year or more I occupy all the English Euro/Iberian provinces and 9 of 11 African provinces, have a war score of 51%, and have reduced the English land force to 19k worldwide. Despite all of this, England refuses any settlement except white peace or me offering tribute.

Because of the English fleet I am unable to launch an invasion of the British Isles. I am guessing this is the reason they refuse to concede. Would this be reasonable? Oh, and my War Exhaustion is red.

If you have 51% warscore you can stabhit them by giving them favourable peace offers that they still refuse, try that and they may be more reasonable with you when they hit -3 stab.

The red WE was the problem. I killed War Taxes, got the WE back under the max and the ai came to the table. Even then the most I could get was an 18. At that point asking for 25 Ducats killed the deal.

Get military access in northern France, float some transports up there before the next war and sacrifice them to land a large land force. All it takes is one.
If you don't want to lose them, work it out so you have 2 fleets on the sea zones bordering them so the enemy fleet has to fight for a few rounds to get to them.

Wow, what is with those Brits, anyway. So I finally got them to accept my modest demands, Armagnac and Cadiz. Peace, finally, for a while, until I gain a core on Gibraltar. So I launch another reconquest war and this time throw them out of all of their Euro provinces, 5 plus Gibraltar. I also throw them out of 5 of 11 African provinces, some left in Morocco and a few east of Tunisia. Sicily and Portugal have already acceded to my demands so England is all alone. And still they won't come to the table. I even threw some very sweet treaties at them trying to drop their stability like suggested to no avail.

And then they start the EU quickstep around Africa and eventually my armies stop regenerating, even in friendly provinces. *&^%$&^$%#^@(*^% *^%$^$@#(&*^% &^%$&$#*(^&%

I knew the Brits were a stubborn lot, but my Lord.

You need a stack of mercenaries... they will keep regenerating.

You're also going to HAVE TO take provinces in the English homeland to force them to take you seriously. Once you present a threat to the actual government, they'll beg for peace.

As a general rule of thumb: Never peace out with englands allies if england is the warleader. That way you can drive your Warscore up to the regions where you can stabhit them. For example occupying Portugal+ the three english provinces in france at the beginning of the game is enough to stabhit them. Also release wales or cornwall in a peace and just station 40k troops there, you wont ever have to worry about the royal navy again.
