The realm rejoices as Paradox Interactive announces the launch of Crusader Kings III, the latest entry in the publisher’s grand strategy role-playing game franchise. Advisors may now jockey for positions of influence and adversaries should save their schemes for another day, because on this day Crusader Kings III can be purchased on Steam, the Paradox Store, and other major online retailers.
I really hope that indiegogo campaign is legit.... But even then a goal of 480k would be too hard to get. Especially since it is running on indiegogo which is less popular than Kickstarter.
Why keep them up, they have nothing to be proud of. All they have are missed dates and a half finished product. Why? They tried hard to make a fun game. They didn't take your money. They didn't get the game to a point where both they and PI would be comfortable releasing it, but trying and failing is not a reason for shame.
oh I think it's not very legit. He gets to keep all money even if he doesn't reach his goal, when he uses indiegogo...
After all the cast iron assurances that this wasn't another MM and within 1-2 weeks of the planned Beta release this is pretty low Pdox. I joined the forums just for this game checking them weekly if not daily for updates for about a year this announcement is, to say the least, disappointing. Is there nothing that can be done? Will the developers still have access to the steam client? If so can't you just add forum members to it as official alpha 'testers' thereby bypassing the need to actually release it but still avoiding the backlash of this blow to one of the most loyal fan bases I have ever seen? Paradox I beg of you, do something! If not a private release to the fans then can you at-least publish the remaining DDs? While I understand that you need to defend your IP and source code can you not release the devs of some parts of their NDAs to allow them to talk more freely?
