First, you are a modder for HOI2DD or HOI2DDA.

One day, your sibling/spouse/child/parent/friend comes in and opens your HoI files. They notice the teams folder, the ministers folder, and the leaders folder. They open the csv files and notice the 3-letter country tags. They decide to help by renaming all the files to XXX.csv, where XXX is the tag.

You currently use an editor, so the names of the files are probably irrevelant to you.

Would you care that all the files have been changed to the format XXX.csv?

Changing anything in HOI from small caps to large caps either or doesn't seem to matter at all.

However, my computer room has a 'locked door' and only I have the key. :D

But normally files are like teams_aug.csv, leaders_usa.csv, and commiechina.csv. Do you personally care if you used an editor and it changed everything to XXX.csv?

Not if your editor comes with a warning message.
Then again, I find plain text easier to work with than strange editors.

Strange editor?

BTW when did I ever mention that I was discussing my editor? I simply asked a hypothetical question about any editor doing such a thing. :D
