So I thought I'd try doing what they did on the Youtube channel and build my city neighbourhood by neighoburhood, and I went one step further and decided I'd use the actual zoning maps released by our city. They're surprisingly in-depth, so, my first logical step was to look at my own neighbourhood I've lived in my whole life first. As soon as I saw it, however, I almost threw up. I think I must live in one of the worst designed cities in at least North America, because there is literally no reasoning behind anything done. Streets just run wherever, properties are randomly cut in half with no logic, and property sizes are the furthest from consistent. Here is the map of my neighbourhood so you can all see for yourselves how bad of a time I'm having with this. Honestly, if anyone thinks they can replicate this, I'd love to see it:
