I know this is a 'bit' :) off topic, but I couldn't resist. Elizabeth is also one of my favorite movies. The director (who is a Hindu, by the way) sure knew how to keep us on our toes. The valse Walsigham, the Spanish ambassador and Norfolk dance all through the film is truly unforgettable.

Great AAR, Sean. I've enjoyed every bit of it so far :).

As for Elizabeth the movie, it was a good enough film, but did something of a hatchet job on certain aspects of her early reign. Still, as long as it gets people interested enough to want to study her further, then I guess it does the trick.

I had to read the whole thing again from the beginning... and I laughed just as much as I did the first time. This AAR is a true work of art. I know perceptions of what is and is not funny vary from nation to nation, and I was curious as to if anyone did *not* fight the humour in it amusing.
