So if I have 120 years left to conquer the world how doable is it, I ask this because I thought it was going to be really easy but now loads of lower tech nations are westernising. I dominate the map everywhere and can win any war but its incredibly time intensive... I mean spain is now 2 wars away from down, russia is 3/4, ottomans are 3 more wars. The issue is that for example if ming westernises it will throw the whole run off. Also I had planned to protectorate africa but now I am having to conquer lots of it outright due to bloody westernising. Ming has started plopping down colonies and now borders me.

ATM im not sure if I should focus on locking down protectorates or killing the last few nations of any reasonable size.

please help I've now sunk a lot of hours into this run and I dont want it to be ruined by low tech nations like ming westernising at the last minute

wow this event seems to be new:
CEsEU2d.png

while I was in a war with England I got a PU with pommerania and a Succession war with France over it wo backstabbed me
that was really tough and delayed my game but I made it in 1500 and this Glory Event actually gave me the last needed points for Revoke Privilegia

@Caranal you might want to give some screenshots and so we can better help you with a map

You need to be more specific. 120 years left and exactly how big are you? Picture?
At what year did you revoke the Privilegia?

What are you talking about? This game is not harder now than before. Also, this post on the forums is so that "casual" players can still do these things.

No...maybe it's because Bohemia was siegeing an intermediate province?
Hum... Just to make sure Kassel is also being cored, right? Then perhaps does Bohemia(or any subject) have a core in a neighbouring province?

As far as I know for land-locked provinces to be cored they have to be adjacent to a core of either you or a subject*. Owned or not doesn't matter but aside from that I don't know of anything else that allows it.

*Vasssal allows only for home continent, CN for all. Not sure for protectorate and PU.

Yeah, Bohemia ended up coring both of those provinces, so I'm not sure what's going on...

Anyway, because of that, and France joining Hungary in a coalition war against Bohemia, I had to not defend the Empire, which forced me to use 2 extra +11's to pass the 5th and 6th reforms. I have 0 IA, but I've just attacked a weakened Burgundy...if I make my allies take Burgundian provinces in the HRE and demand that they give up unlawful territory, those provinces will return to their Dutch/Belgian states, and I will get the IA, right? If I take Franche-Comte, which has no non-Burgundian core, will I get IA for demanding its return, and who will it return to?

Ugh, I was supposed to be done with this about 10 years ago, but Hungary DOW'ed Bohemia and brought in France, thus losing me 2 provinces and even more IA, since everyone hated me for not fighting France, so I had to use 2 extra provinces to pass the 5th and 6th reforms. Then I attacked Burgundy, hoping to get some more IA from their Dutch provinces, but OF COURSE, the Burgundian Inheritance event fires and forces me to annex all of it (I can't even get IA by releasing the Dutch states now). I tried DOW'ing non-HRE members like Novgorod and Riga to bring in Pommerania and The Hansa, respectively, but they both refused their allies' call to arms (or didn't get sent one), so now I'm stuck slowly waiting for IA to tick up to 50-60, which will take 30-40 years...what should I do?

Your best bet is still looking for some changes in non-HRE targets allying princes that will actually join (have you tried Venice/Urbino/Serbia?). Alternatively you could try adding some territory to the HRE but the extra agressive expansion you'll get for that will probably be counterproductive.

On another note I also had the issue where somebody (I believe it was Brandenburg or Bohemia) was randomly coring Salzburg eventhough Bavaria and I had the land fully bordered by our own provinces. It didn't matter in the end because some Salzburgian Nationalists ended his attempt once and for all but it looked pretty buggy to me.

Hmm, I guess I'll keep trying. The good news is that NO CB wars only cost 1 stab since I finished Diplomatic ideas...I'm also 3 points away from having Brandenburg agree to give back Savoie...they already have a +200 opinion of me, so is there any way I can get it over the threshold besides having extra Diplomatic Reputation?

I believe relations and diplo rep are your only options. I personally don't bother with provinces over 10 basetax because it seems pretty impossible to demand them back this early in the game.

If you did finish diplo ideas no CB wars definitely aren't the worst either, just make sure the war gives you enough IA to also compensate for potential aggressive expansion (and as such lower relations and likelihood of them voting for the reform) you'll get for declaring the war.

Yeah, fortunately, no one in the HRE cares much about Riga or Novgorod, but those are my only options currently, and they did not work...it would really suck to have to wait 30+ years for IA to drift up naturally...I added the 3 Belgian? provinces that are not in the HRE to the HRE, so I now have 10 IA instead of 6, but I still get only 0.11 per month (actually, I think it's 1.35 per year), so I need some other source.

Judging by my current Austria attempt, I feel like 'standard' WC can be done by 1650 (with good admin/dip rulers and Burgundian inheritance luck) using this strategy.

Which opens up the question of whether one-tag HRE WC (Africa, Europe, Asia) is possible. I think it is, but good vassal + HRE territory management is critical and you have to know which ones will take religious ideas later. I'm not masochistic enough to try it but I do have a pretty detailed strategy in mind.

there's a trust modifier as well, I think honoring empire calls might increase it but I'm not certain.

How do you do it that quickly? Kill the colonizers and micromanage exploration to protectorate the American natives before CN's form? And how to prevent the Asians/Africans from westernizing?

From having done about 5 tries where I was too hasty and greedy I can say this:
Don't rush it. Do not get into too risky wars before you can do it and do not give the Allies too much AE. This gets them into Coalition wars and they loose the provinces before you can get them or otherwise if you fdefend you get involved into too long wars that waste time.

Some other question: How can you cancel a reform again? I want to cancel Revoke Privilegia to have the +3 Diplo Rep
