I've just started to get back into reading AARs (I want to say I was a forum regular around 2001-2003, but that's just a guestimate), having just gotten back into EU when I found out there was an EU3. I've read most of the way through several, and haven't been terribly impressed. But I followed the link from the AAR Showcase, and I've got to hand it to you. I won't say it's the best I've ever read or anything like that, because I simply don't remember a lot of what I read 6 or so years ago. But it's damn good, very engaging, very well written. You've really got a knack for intertwining it with real history (or a slanted version thereof) in a way that makes the whole thing pop, and yet when you report on your actual in-game events in response to inquiries I'm left wondering how on earth so few game inputs led you to such intricate plots. You must have one hell of an imagination, and both your imagination and your story have simply gotten better as the story goes on, so it's not as if you're running out of ideas (as far as I can tell). Most importantly, this AAR inspired me to actually post, despite my reservations about getting attached to this forum again. For me, at least, that's the real testament to the quality of this. I sincerely hope you find the time to finish it off, but as it is, it's got sufficient length to stand as a complete success even if you don't get the chance. Excellent, excellent work.
Hi, I enjoyed reading your Brabant AAR. I'm after completing a Brabant game (or rather, Burgundy completed it for me) so I was fascinated how you did. I have one question though: at the start of your AAR, you attacked Hainault along with Burgundy.

I was wondering how you can lay claim on Zeeland when it's part of Holland (i.e not Burgundy or Hainault)

Zeeland and Holland where under the control of Hainault... so Hainault had 3 provinces 1 went to Burgundy and 2 to Brabant...

Great AAR, really well written and I love the artwork. As a history buff I am able to recognize most of the paintings and which war that they came from. A great use of it to add colour to your aar.
Damn, looks like FYROM isn't going to continue this, too bad, this was probably the best AAR I've ever read

Nope, its going to continue, despite my absence. I've got winter break set aside for it, and next semester I should have enough time to continue writing stuff. This semester has been full of senior design and my last heavy classes, so I haven't been able to get anything done. However, expect new updates by mid-December.
