By request, a map of Eastern Europe in 1592. I was reading through the SolAARium and came across map templates, so I tried out making a map from scratch. The one downside is that it's a non-IN map, so some of the provinces aren't quite the same. It also takes a lot longer
Sweden's got all of "Sweden", as well as Finland, Karelia, Livonia and Wielkopolska. It's also in a union with Catholic Bohemia, which has considerable forces. Despite not having Novgorod, Moscow is the Brown Bear of the East, and actually came out ahead in the war with its new Black Sea ports. The other players in the region are Denmark, Poland and Austria, while the Ottomans have been driven south by their traitorous beys.

Yes, that's the end of de Huelva. Maybe he died at Moscow, maybe he sought employment with the Czar after his commission was retired. I may bring back some journals/letters if I have a suitable occasion, but for now its back to the old style.

Sweden's starting to tick me off, like an overgrown puppy. In 1590 they had 40k troops, while I had 30k in Europe. In 1610 they have 60k, with an additional 40k Bohemians!

Usually when I play I try to build up my allies, since I tend to start as minors and rely on diplomacy to take down the big players. Back in 1550 when I allied with Sweden, they were the runt of the Baltic with 20k troops, southern Sweden occupied and their east threatened by Moscow. And they were by far my strongest ally. So I've been steadily working to make them into a suitable partner, although I may have been too successful in that regard
