Black Ice (BICE) adds a lot to the game, especially the majors, including Germany, but many may not want all of its additions. I am playing it right now and I am having fun. You will find it more difficult to win with Germany, or any other country for that matter. Everything seems to matter more.

World Ablaze and Total War are also good, adding much, but not as much as BICE.

I recall there was a mod that starts Germany in 1933. Do you know which one?

Where would I find World Ablaze and Total War also hearts of Oak? I couldn't find them in the user mod list.

you can start in 1930 and it is called 1930 I find the German tree is quite well done and I think that date will be ideal for future editions because it is very plausible to make alternative paths more plausible than the current game vanillia

It is also developing several very promising mods that start in 1933 as a new Darkest hour or CBTS.

I very much recommend Adlers mods. They are mostly cosmetic but also adds historical names, icons etc.
Die Schutzstaffel
Die Kriegsmarine
Die Luftwaffe

Makes for a more immersive Germany.

Thanks everyone. I went out of town for a while. Anyways, all of them look great so I'm trying to figure out which one I want to try. Do any or all of them allow puppeting of nations in a "non vanilla" way like making nations such as Scotland, Flanders, Ukraine etc?
