So this light mech makes a melee attack against my Shadow Hawk piloted by Glitch. The light mech kicks the Shadow Hawk in the shin and Glitch suffers a head injury? LOL
no may, elevation does play a roll. The game does it's best to pick a melee animation based an the height difference, target location, and what parts still exist for the attacking 'mech, but sometimes you get a kick to the head when it would look comical.afaik the melee animations are sorta random and might display as a kick, but the attack itself was actually a punch (and vice versa) - also elevations *may* play a role as well.
BOOT TO THE HEAD! Nah, nah!

Having said that, a kung fu Kintaro would be awesome.
We'd need to wait for Clans before we can have 'cats fast as lightning though.
In fact that is a little bit frightening, but it would fight with expert timing.
I can safely say that I and probably most others here will watch that clip and think 'Wait, Dekker's still alive?'Melee attack

My Dekker took more headshots than your average adult film star, yet never got killed.but note he is the only one with an injury due to a head hit. LOL
