With the announcement of the Revolutions expansion pack for Victoria, and the fact that you can convert EU2 saves to Victoria, albeit with a 3rd party program, and now the ability to go from Vicky to HoI2: DD, could one go from 1066-1820, and then 1835-1953? Imagine taking a nation through almost all of the 2nd millenium! Quite a doozy. But back to my question, could someone conceivably do it?

Yes. :)

But by the time you got to the Doomsday stage of the game, the world would be a very ahistorical place. Mind you, I'd be all for that.

That'd be part of the goal, to fight the most ahistorical WW2, then possibly have a nonexistant Cold War. Although, seeing as how it covers the longest time period, EU2 would probably be the turning point of ahistoricalness. Someone has got to do an AAR on this, I'd love to, but I lack CK, Vicky, and DD.

I keep forgetting CK is Europe only. Damn, otherwise this might be more fun. I can imagine Paradox making a grand strategy game about later classical antiquity, and we'll be here discussing an even bigger GC, and we'll say the same thing, it'd be too boring.

I have actually wished for Paradox game set in around 600bc to 200 bc or such.Of course its very, very difficult to find leaders and monarchs for that time period but propably CK style game there would be awesome.

Modern Era Game

A game I'd like to see from Paradox is a Modern Era Game, maybe at the end of WWII, or maybe even in 1990, the end of USSR, now, we're really making new history, We know learders, presidents, all those kinda things, because it's modern day, everything is recorded. Historcally accurate? for the first years, and then we start making history, Technological Advances? It's the same concept, more features. I'd love to take on a mission to destory USA, or play as USA and end the war of Iraq in matter of days, instead of this lengthy war they're doing. We all be able to play our own countries and convert them into superpowers, wouldn't you think that would be fun? :p :)

You can try Supreme Ruler 2010 for that. Though not made by Paradox and only starts in 2010, but it's simply a great game if you have patience for micromanagement. ;)

Seeing that Paradox is stopping EU3 before 1789, there's still a big gap between EU and Vicky.

And since Paradox first expanded EU to 1819 to allow players to play the Napoleonie era, I bet there'll be either a new game filling the period, or an expansion for EU3 tailored for that period, like HoI2-DD and Vicky:Revolutions. :)

That just what I think. I'd love a Total War type of game (but not so dumbed down like those) or even better HoI2, with a strategic map, economy, resources, manpower, and maneuvering armies, but with grand tactical battles. I can dream can't I?

Dumbed down? At least Medieval: Total War has more than just 1 religion in every given province

I suspect P'Dox is planning a game for the Napoleonic period, IE 1789 - 1835.
Or it will be a EU3 expansion pack.

Why the specific year 1835?
