I was playing a rather successful game, when I saw that the Awakened empire above me had 600k, and he was growing.
Listening to my "courage", I thought that, since he saw me more or less as an equal since the Unbidden, I could form a federation with him, while I integrate my vassals.
The only problem with this "strategy" is that the button to leave the federation was greyed out and I couldn't leave diplomatically (as well as militarily). Well, turns out it is greyed out as long as there isn't a third member of the federation. Then, you can leave the federation at will.
Except when you are playing with a friend and are both in the federation with no AI. When it's the case, you can both go in federation with the awawened empire, but you cannot both leave. With a friend, I managed to find a loophole about this. The player who left the federation can vassalize the other, making him leave the federation as well.
But, frankly, wouldn't it be better if you could just leave the awekened federation? So, add a "leave federation" button to the awekened empire's diplomatic options, please.
