Belongs what Factorys you build. The Civ-Industry are Main-Important for the Construction of Infrastructure, more Factorys as well as the important Synth. Raffs. Why? Synth Raffs produce more Oil than Oil-Fields you will have, esp. with the +50% Bonus-Research and the +10% / +20% Bonus-Research for synt. Raffs / Oil Fields 1937 / 1939 following. And synth. Raffs reduces the import from Rubber. You need more Civ-Industrys to get the same Oil-Production you will get with 6 or 9 Synth. Raffs with the +60% Bonus only producing Oil.

You can test it with the 2 Oil Fields you have at the beginning, then 4 or 5 with Austria etc. and the Synt. Raffs you have to build. You will see what I mean. You normaly need only 12 or 15 Synth. Raffs with the Bonus-Researches. Later you will get more natural Ressources.

What I have noticed in my Games from Base Version 1.00 on is that without Industry and Technology-Upgrades nothing will work. Oil and Rubber are Main-Important for your Airforce and some Army-Parts. That´s why I uses everything the MEFO can give for the Industry-Buildup, esp. in Dockyards, Synth. Raffs and Civ-Industry / Military Industry. Later on Radar and heavy AAA etc.

You can play like you want and I like the Idea from the Author. I only show my Gameplay-Expierence here from the 3 or 4 Years the Game is on the Market. And one thing never Changed: Autonomy Industry and Ressorces are the Key. So after the synth. Raffs get in the Game, I changed form normal Trade without Minister-Bonus to Autonomy Industry, which drive much smoother than expected.

But it would be boring if we all were equal. New Ideas are ever welcome, but the minimum 1 Buildup-Industry-Part have to run at 100%. So what to do with 2 Industrys left in Production?
No this is simply wrong!
1 synth on 39 tech produces 110 fuel
1 civ importing 8 oil produces 576 fuel
So you need 5 synth to get even less fuel then 1 civ importing 8 oil....
2 civ gives 16 rubber
3 synth give 20 rubber on 39 tech with focus but 4 are going to exports on limited so your left with 16

It is a bad idea to start building synth at the start, no matter what your experience tells you its wrong.
Do it later!

I'm pretty sure the optimal way to get the highest number of factories possible is to research-juggle your industrial techs (Dispersed 1 and Construction 1) with an empty slot (basically saving up 30 days of research on an empty slot, then swapping the desired tech in progress over to that empty slot and accelerating the research by 30 days, you can do this whenever you have an empty research slot), and take Rhineland followed by Four Year Plan. If you can manage to start researching Construction 2, Dispersed 2, and 1937 Machine Tools before the Four Year Plan focus finishes, you can use both bonuses the focus grants you on Construction 3 and Construction 4, the latter of which will be finished in 1938, three years ahead of time. This combined with going Free Trade and picking up the Captain of Industry will massively snowball your buildup phase.

The opportunity cost is you're spending a lot of time researching construction tech, so the most likely sacrifice is being behind in infantry tech or navy. This is fine though, since infantry are mainly defensive and a navy is not the most important thing to research as Germany and submarines/destroyers are cheap enough that you can get a fleet going quickly once the research is finished even if you neglected it until later. The only areas of research you need to keep on time or ahead of time in as Germany are Industry, Electronics, Fighters, and Medium Tanks. Land Doctrine is also a priority, and Air Doctrine up to the fighter agility tech in your doctrine of choice should be completed by the start of World War 2.

Yep the Mechanical Research I do use too the full way up to 1939 Research if possible in that Points for faster Buildup, more Ressources and faster Production. And not to forgett the synthetic Points there. With the 2x +50% more synthetic Oil Produciton, 2x+ 1 synthetic Rubber-Production as well as the 2x +10% for Synthecic Oil / +20% Oil Fields-Production (1937 and 1939) I get most of my Airforce, Army (Tanks and mot. Infantry equiped with the Support-Unit) and lighter Ships running.

So I have more Fuel and Rubber then I would get from the Oil-Fields or Rubber-Countrys with my needed factorys for Buildup the Nation and Security Points.

And Yep it´s enough to produce the synt. Raffs from 1937 on (12) with the Bonuses they will recive, if you reduce your Oil usage to an absulutley Minimum.
