I am making this thead to bring some ideas up front. They might be of some use to the DEVs.

1. Support units (AT-Guns, light howitzers, Mortars and MG Teams).
I have noticed these units have a quite peculiar way of operating that I would not expect from them. In other words, they act as any other unit. That makes them (in my eyes) overperform in their tasks especially on the offense.

My solution to make them more in line how they operate in real life and they all would have to be implemented to make sense.
- Give them a setup button. It would work similar to the dismount button when moving infantry. Each time you move your MG or AT-Gun you have to click it to make them start moving and when you want them to join combat you have to click it again so that they set up. This would make them more static and would not allow for just open field AT-Gun and MG attacks in which they just creep at the other player slowly moving towards them.

- Give AT-guns and Light Howitzers them lower morale. Those guns should be quite easy to supress when they are under direct fire. The crew has to move a lumbering and uncomfortable metal piece that gives them only a small cover from shrapnel and bullets. No one would feel comfortable behind it, even under a small volume of fire.

-Give them better stealth. Thanks to they would become a much better defensive weapon for ambushes. They could shoot unseen, but because they are easy to supress the arty fire and supressive blind fire from squads could make them less potent.

So thanks to those tweeks they keep their intended role and would become more organic in it, but with that said they would also loose their ability to just steamroll over the battlefield. They would need to be more carefully placed and rely on ambushes and well prepared positions.

Some of those weapons could get a small range buff due to their now much more limited assault and advance capablility, like the light lG 18 guns and their counterparts.

2. Change the G6/R6 agility to good. Those additional guns leave an impact on its maneuvrability irl (and other areas... but ok). Currently all 109 fighter models have very good agility which devalues those without gunpods. This would make it better and more balanced and true to life.

Do the same to any other airplane that has additional external weapons.

I'll add new points if I find something that could be tweaked for better. :3

I agree with 1, but not 2. The G6/R6 are 20 points more expensive and IIRC are a phase later too.

Regarding the AT/Arty ideas, I would also love to see:
1) An "aim" option where you can get the AT gun to rotate towards a tank that is approaching (without having it have to actually move) so that it is ready for the shot.
2) AT especially in good green cover, be allowed one "hidden" shot per minute. AT guns often could get shots off w/o being spotted, and that was part of how they were effective.

BTW, doesn't this belong in the suggestion forum?

Their price could go down to 130 CP, which is a good buff IMHO, plus, it is realistic to their actual performance.

AT guns move too fast, especially the heavy ones...
17 pdrs are almost like Jagdpanzers, they move around and they have actually 5 hitpoitns while tanks have only 1... and they can move through hedges and forests.
The speed they have is incredible and I was shocked to see that those heavy pieces can even mode at all...

My suggestion would be to outright half the movement speed of anti-tank guns... they are VERY good at the moment and such a nerf would not really change their main role, but prevent them from becoming Tanks...

I agree with all points, and I'd like to add that 88s move entirely too fast. Entirely. Especially on the garbage terrain you fight on.

You will not push an 88 through rough terrain. You simply won't do it. You can tow it, but you won't be pushing it. It's absurd that you can attack move with them.

Some of them wouldn't be able to move after they deploy then. They'd have to tow them all by Sdkfz. 7's.
