So. I see strategic redeployment (SR) has been retained in the game. Yea!
Does the AI SR directly to the front or does it send them to a reserve position to recover organization?
How does SR effect supply? I know in HoI3 it was dangerous to use if the units crossed active supply-lines or away from an active front (robbing their provinces of supply stocks and bankrupting remaining units until the deficit comes in from the capital, which could be days/weeks/months!) so, with the apparent removal (as far as I can tell) of the province-by-province draw and more abstract supply situation, will SR still be a supply concern?
Will the SR of units through a territory have an adverse effect on the maneuver-speed of units moving within the province? Like, if an entire German army is SRing through Ukraine, will units in that province suffer reduced performance because rolling-stock is tied-up shipping those troops? There are certain events I'm glad aren't in the game, but certainly caused a notable reduction in the German war-effort because it's logistical demand sidetracked any other demand, even critical military resources.
Those are my questions. Any insight from people who've had time to study it? Thanks!
