Hey, guys!

I'm kinda new at mapmodding, I have a few questions to ask so bear with me please.

1-How can I remove a specific province completely and add sea instead?
2-How can i make rivers between provinces, do I have to draw it myself?
3-What's the best size for a map?
4-Is there some guide to help me with making custom maps?

Thanks, guys.

1 - Just paint over the target province and put the RGB information into definition, then change the default.map number of provinces by +1. There's more tweaking you need to do of course, such as editing the terrain.bmp, river.bmp and topology.bmp (most important really, the new water should be below 95-95-95 RGB).
2 - Yes you have to draw them yourself, how else would the game know where to put them ;) You can add new rivers by adding them to rivers.bmp
3 - 2048x2048, the size of the vanilla map. You won't need to tweak anything but the .bmps and the .dds to get it working and looking ok. No need to add pdxmap.lua or whatever tweaks for example.
4 - Not really, there's some helpful links in THIS THREAD, which is stickied at the top of the forum, I'm guessing you didn't bother reading it yet, you really should.

Thanks for helping me out, bro. Will try it when I get home.
