Ok firstly a great improvement. but I noticed the following bugs in my first game as Japan.

1. Having conquered China I dow'ed Communist China who were now part of the Comintern. Annexed them easily after which it no longer says I'm at war with USSR even though my troops have captured several provinces. Selecting the "Make peace" button does nothing - ie you can click it but you get no message back for either success or failure and can repeatedly click it without spending DI.

2. Related to 1. I decided to save the game at this point and reload. Helped a little, as now I'm shown at peace with the USSR and can select the declare war icon. Previously captured territory from the USSR was still shown as mine, but if I moved out of it I couldn't move units back in. Very weird. Also reverse effect for territory they captured from me, didn't reset ownership or anything like that but my units in that territory were then in zero supply. Re-dowing the USSR sorted out the issue but it happened again when I annexed Mongolia and Tannu Tuva (sp?)!

3. Other problem I noticed, after I joined the Axis, whenever I dow'ed a country I'd get a message saying German+allies declare war on said country, but me as Japan would not be part of the war. I would have to click declare war a second time to get into the war. This has happened around 3 or 4 times in a row now.

Here is what I have noticed so far:

Autosaves and saves doesn’t work. “Database mismatch” appears. When ignore is pressed 3 times the game loads anyway. This in combination with constant CTDs is very frustrating.

After paradropping parartroopers still appear there even though moved out of the province.

4 transports can’t take 3 paratroopers. Error message of “transport capacity too small” pops up every time paras are loaded. When the last of these ghost paras are tried to be strat moved the game always CTDs.

After paradropping in a province conquering it you can return the transports and then exit the paras in the original province still keeping possession of the drop province.

Fighter put on interception order move away and seems to move their home base to the area the interdict in and can thus base in enemy regions and naval zones. Its very hard to stop the fighter to intercept since it moves on its own and soon has its base out of range of any friendly province.

This is the easiest way to conquer half of Africa in two months. You simply set a transport with one para unit onboard on a trip across several unoccupied provices, pause the game every time the plane flies over an unconquered province, paradrop, load the troops again, unpause... and voila! This has to be repaired.

This must be related to your installation, or OS, or something else independent of the game. I have never had any trouble loading my saves or autosaves. And the game has crashed only once in all the many hours I have played it. You should really check and make sure you have the most recent drivers for your hardware, and that you have the right version of DirectX (8.1 I think). Or possibly reinstall the game.

i had the same problem of the not working autosaves

but mine where multiplayer games , what i did to finally get it to work was to go to the save folder and delete both tha autosave and the oldautosave files.

when you begin playing the game will create new autosave files which should work now.

at least thats what i did and it worked.

hope it helps:cool:
