A few observations about Jolly old England

1. I'd love to be a crusader, but boy, if I'm not placating vassals or fighting succession wars every day of every year.

2. When does the culture 'English' actually exist

3. When do I become 'English'?

4. The war for the English throne. Is there an incentive to fight it out yourself above simply selecting the start date 3 months down the line where the war is already won and done? The only drawback I can see to the post-Hastings start is all the knucklehead Saxons that inevitably DoW you and end up in the oubliette. Not to hard to deal with them and install proper 'Norman' dukes. I mean, I can barely land my troops before the actual date where Harold was deposed.

1. Yeah, civil wars appear quite often, but in every realm. The problem is, most of them are unsuccesfull and just annoying
2-3. I think from the beginning? I started with House Nothembrien and become Count of Oxford pretty fast in the Stamford scenario. After a succesfull defendig of the saxon homeland, I married into House Lancaster and my children become "English". It was hard work to get the back to "Saxon", so I can get rid of the penalty for being a foreigner.

Added to my civil war every other day, now the country is split into 3 religious groups. So I can't get worth while council members and the pope is taking issue with us now.
