1) Is there any reason to use warships instead transports when you are using an explorer on terra incognita ?

2) Has anyone made a tech tree or is there anywhere I can see a tech tree ? I've quickly leafed through my german manual, but that didn't tell me much. ?

3) Has anyone made a list of the cost of static stuff in the game ?
Like placing traders in COTs (foreign and your own), creating a colony or trade post, the different lvls of fortresses ? Any help here would be greatly appreciated !

1) As far as I can see, NO (unless you're in a war - but then you could always flee).

2) Check the text files (in the Db subdirectory), you can read about all the levels there.

3) The prices vary with your inflation level.

And this post should be in the FAQ forum.

1) Actually, there is one very good reason! The warships move faster than the transports, especially at higher technologylevels.

2) There isn't really a 'techtree' per se, since the technologyresearch is linear. If you point your pointerthingie on the questionmark by the researchsliders you see what new 'bonus effects' you get when you research new stuff.

3) :p Yeah. Right. When I could be playing the game instead? The only reason I take time to write this is because I'm at work! ;)
