The first question I have is if you go southern expansion and attack the Dutch East Indies before invading china is it possible to annex them or do you have to beat the Netherlands in Europe first? And a follow on to that question is at what point can the allies send them a request to join the allies or they request to join? (Is there a world tension limit before the allies start adding everyone?)

Next question is how effective are kamakazies? Never used them before the only posts I can find is they were op when the game came out but nothing about them now?

And final question is it possible that a country in china could join the allies instead of the Chinese united front?

1) as long as the WT is below 25% the UK will not guarantee. You do have to knock out Holland to annex iirc, the NEI is a colony of Holland. It is difficult to reach Holland without basing rights. Some people used to attack Portugal to use their colonies as stepping stones. Not sure if this is still viable since 1.3.3 changed the fabricate code.

2) nothing about them because Japan is never forced to use them in SP. Better to spend those 70 days on the aircraft production continuous focus than on the kamikaze focus. A player run Japan's only challenge now is Russia. Neither the UK or US will be a problem. Maybe someone in MP has tried them but I haven't seen anything about them.

You can annex Netherlands provinces and dutch companies if you join the axis in invite them to the war when you have captured all the important provinces with rubber and oil. This way Germany attacks the European provinces and you can take almost 100% of their pacific provinces in the peace conference. Later on you can abandon the axis if you want to form your own faction. The southern expansion has the benefit of not increasing WT because you don't have to fabricate a claim.

I tried kamikazes without success. The main benefit is that you can sacrifice older planes but don't expect huge casualties. Yokosuka Okha is still bugged, it's a jet one that can't do kamikaze missions. China can only join the allies if the WT is high enough. I remember I saw in the past China joining allies but nowadays the Chinese United Front forms all the time.

I played them (for roleplaying purposes) before TfV came out, and yes, they are quite strong, they do quite a lot of damage to a ship if they hit, but they don't hit very often. The thing is that if you want to use them in naval battle you either have to use planes from an airport (but they sortie only once per battle so they most often don't do anything) or have at least a carrier with no mission assigned and have its fighters on kamikaze strike (which again sortie only once per battle). Correct me if I'm wrong, but planes on carriers that are on naval mission won't do kamikaze strikes or any other mission assigned, just attack "normally" if engaged in combat with enemy ships.
