My theory going into this war is that we can withstand a defensive war. With the Galacian mountains at our back, we can withstand much. Russia wins wars not from their own prowess on the field, but from their enemies ego getting the best of them. They chase phantoms of victory out into the mud and snow and there they starve and die. We must understand: this is a war not be to be won but one where Russia must be denied their own victory. I see no scenario where we walk away with too much territory. We cannot get greedy, we cannot fight forever. We must win a few key victories in Poland and Ukraine, and we must stop there.
Russia losing is enough for our victory, I suppose. Only a madman would expect to see our armies drinking coffee in Moscow let alone Vladivostok.

I concur. The plan of landing an army in the Baltic through the Prussian navy is sheer folly, and greatly overestimates our military capabilities. We must hold the line and, if possible, encircle large portions of the army, but go no further than Poland. Leave that to the Prussians.
