((Only councillor vote on none confidence votes right? If so 4 more and we got the 12/18 majority needed))
As for the proposed state in Northern Hungary, I only have one suggestion, concerning its name. Naming it Slovakia would risk raising more nationalist flames, and, in convention with the rest of the states names, I propose Republic of Nitra as a name for the new state. From what I read on the region, this was the name of the principality who ruled the lands, even before Hungary was united.
It is not a proposed state, it has been officially recognized as the State of Slovakia. Any attempt to rename it would be an absurd appeasement of the treasonous rebels. It will be Slovakia.

Yet you are President of Carnolia, not Slovenia, are you ?As both State-President of Carniola and Leader of the Centre Party, I support the right of the Slovak people to choose the name of their state.

What's to prevent Nitra from being the state of the federation ? It's the one that carries the history of the slovaks!Slovenia is a regional term, Carniola is the State of the Federation.
Our Minister of Finance needs to be detained so he cannot do further harm to our Federation. I request Chancellor Vogel of Austria to detain him until Marshals Masaryk, Eckhel, and I have decided what shall be done. At the moment, I think it best his duties be split between the three Marshals of the National Emergency Council, until a suitable solution is found.
-Marshal Elias DeSanctis, Minister of Security

((Also I'm going to step out of character and point out that though Sykora is the only slovak PC, he certainly isn't the only slovak))
Venice thanks Croatia for her support; and also supports the proposed new name for Slovakia as a way to ease tensions in the area.Regardless, Croatia is likely to accept this decision and offer its support in securing Crete. ((Thoctar, get me a joint declaration here!))

Than whom were you speaking of, Marshal? You misunderstand, I was not speaking of His Serenity.
Venice welcomes the Croat contingent as guests to help keep the peace within the Venetian territory of the Duchy. There we go!
It is indeed; which is why I am fully assured of the combined capabilities of the Venetian forces in the region, combined with the Red Star Fleet, t handle the situation. And need I remind you again that Venetian borders are closed? However Venice is an important port of the Federation. There is military necessity to make sure the city is secure so that the Federal fleets are not cut off in these troubled times. Any other idle speculation is unfortunate, but groundless.
((There really aren't.))Surely there are more productive uses of our time?
((Well, there's Bohemia. The rest are admittedly regional names, but most of them carry historical significance. Slovakia just comes out of nowhere though.))((We're not really using that many archaic names. Maybe Carniola, but some people would have used that name back then. Absolutely no one went around calling anything Nitra or Great Moravia. It's really not in convention with the rest of the state names, at all.))
I commend the actions of Chancellor Vogel and my fellow Marshal DeSanctis in taking care of this issue.Having received a formal request from the Minister of Security, I hereby order the Austrian State Police to take Frederick von Salzburg III into custody immediately. He is to be removed from the Hofburg Palace and held at the state police headquarters in Vienna pending further review of his status. Take him away.
~ Erich Vogel, Chancellor of Austria
However, the military staff does not have your confidence. It is our job to protect the Federation and protect against any threats we may have gotten wind of, especially for such a historic and beautiful city such as Venice. May I remind you that interstate borders are open to the Federal Army?It is indeed; which is why I am fully assured of the combined capabilities of the Venetian forces in the region, combined with the Red Star Fleet, t handle the situation. And need I remind you again that Venetian borders are closed?
Kraus laughs as Salzburg is escorted out of the building
Well I suppose that means the vote of no confidence is now redundant! I have a question though... Am I to be put on trial? No formal declaration has been made, so I am wondering why I am still in captivity if I am not to be put on trial.
~ Victor Kraus, GCM, Prisioner of the National Emergency Council
I doubt you need me to clarify, Signore.Than whom were you speaking of, Marshal?
I applaud the actions of Marshal DeSanctis. At least someone has sense in this madhouse.
Thank you, Councillor Popa and Marshal Eckhel.I commend the actions of Chancellor Vogel and my fellow Marshal DeSanctis in taking care of this issue.
Thank you, Councillor Popa
((I'm honestly A. stalling for theAhawk to get an update. B. stating my preference for the other name.Deputy Papp, I believe you should stop trying to force the Slovaks to accept a name for their state that they don't want. You are not a Slovak, nor do you represent the Slovak people. If they wish to have their state called Slovakia, then so be it. There is nothing you can do about it.
~ Rodrigo Vertucci, Councillor for Lombardia
