You contradict yourself. If you doubt our Foreign Ministry's ability to negotiate monetary reparations, then why do you expect Prussia to return Silesia?

Furthermore, Prussia has respected Ostprussen's sovereignty so far. That is why Ostprussen is in chaos at this moment. That is the whole purpose of the conference.

- Petr Šik, Czech councillor for Bohemia

((Fun fact, spellcheck corrected "Sovereignty" to "Over-sensitivity" :D ))

I personally would favour a transfer of territory that is accepted by both states rather than monetary reparations. I am sure that the minister at the treasury will confirm that our financial position is strong; I believe that, excepting during the Krakovian war, the country has had a budget surplus every year. Prussia has respected Ostprussen sovereignty because it has to; you saw what happened to Russia when it tore up an international treaty. In my mind, that no more nullifies the Konig's longing for his ancestral home than it does restrain his parliament from taking decisive action - that is why they have requested this conference.

I would like to applaud the honourable choices of all of those who voted against the Conservative tyranny in the Federation and voted for progress!
((A little harsh, my Croatian friend. I promise that when Venice is the 4th Rome, I won't send you to the silver mines))

I think your divisive rhetoric is a little uncalled for Councillor; you don't see I or Councillor Kraus applauding A-DCP votes as preserving this Federation from your mad plebeian tyranny.

You appear very confident in the outcome of the negociations.. it seems to me that the Prussians and their german allies saved our bacon, and we wouldn't have been able to do this without them. Why would they pay us for their own lands that they took back themselves ? And no word about Silesia ?

Conservative tyranny ? What's this about ? You're the ones seeking to impose more taxes, we want to enshrine state sovereignty in the constitution. Who's tyrannic again ?
While we're at it, could you define the "Vital Workmen" from your party platform ? The term is delightfully vague.

Vital Workmen? Simple. Railworkers, Arms Industry Workers, Dock Workers, Steelworkers and Coal Miners. Industries vital to the running of the state. Though, I find it ironic that I am being accused of vagueness when there are essentially no mentions of tariffs whatsoever in your Party's Platform.

More-over, I believe you must work on your reading comprehension. There is a clause clearly championing state rights. Are you sure you read our manifesto clearly?

I did read it. However, I hope you're not so foolish as to believe you'll be able to hand out money without increasing the tax burden on our citizens.

Though, I find it ironic that I am being accused of vagueness when there are essentially no mentions of tariffs whatsoever in your Party's Platform.
We had to make some late cuts in our party platform - our plans are to lower them in general to favour trade with our allies in Central Europe, while maintaining them in strategic areas so as to avoid our young industry being choked out. The Federation can provide for its own needs; do not pretend that we will be choking ourselves out when we'll be importing your precious Bohemian coal.

Of the state of Bohemia, yes. I would have hoped you would have dropped state-interest when it came to the presidential elections; however, what you mention will clearly benefit Bohemia the most, while leaving states such as Carnolia, Lombardy and Transylvania completely untouched.

I would like you to point me to which maps include the Great Docks of Bohemia. I would certainly like to ask when the entire Federation's railways became property of the Bohemian government. Moreover, the Coal industry spans the entire Federation, and is specifically powerful in Galicia and Transylvania. As for the Arms Industry, are you denying that arming our troops is important? Do you expect us to expand our military without weapons? Bohemia has significant arms industry, true. Does that mean we must neglect the arms industry as a whole to avoid being accused of favouritism? Perhaps you will next accuse me of attempting to prevent Arms Factories from being built in other states, to champion Czech industry. In all likelihood, I will not doubt that you will.

You are becoming desperate. Of all the arguments you have tried to use against me and my party, this is by far the most absurd and the least grounded in reality. Congress has suffered from hearing such babbles of a madman.

I did read it. However, I hope you're not so foolish as to believe you'll be able to hand out money without increasing the tax burden on our citizens.

Our government's budget is in surplus. We can certainly afford minor reforms to tackle extreme poverty within the Federation. Do you expect me to hand out our entire gold reserves to beggars? Of course you do, but many of this Congress are not so reactionary to assume all social reform to be devoting our entire reserves to "handing out money" to all poor to the point of levying crippling taxes.

This is certainly news to me, especially considering de Nyitria was insistent on Protectionism last election. I very much doubt his commitment to this policy. Especially considering this was never mentioned on the A-DCP Platform, and I had to politely wait until a Councillor was kind enough to tell me.
