a Death or dishonor question

I have been looking forward to and sudgested (a while back) a way ingame to convert old equipment (tanks etc) to tank destroyers, flack and arty variants. Is it so that the new patch/dlc making this possible?
And about the capture/use of of enemy equipment. I read/heard that this is in effect when you get an enemy to surrender. Isolated/out of supply then I guess. But how about the special situation like in the western desert when historicly captured equipment gathered if you own the battlefield after a battle was used more or less directly in just that perticulare theater. Is that in the update?
Last querry: If this is in the pipelines: is it the patch or is it just awailable in the dlc?
