I've had a couple of interesting things happen in my most recent EU3 game, and I'm not sure what the deal is. I don't think they're bugs, more likely there's something I'm not understanding here.
First off, I defeated Castille in a war and made them end the vassalization of Navarra. Seconds later, a message pops up in the log saying Navarra has become a vassal of Castille again. Are they supposed to be able to do this? I thought that the Truce prevented countries from signing deals with each other after such an event...
Anyway, here's the weirder one. I seem to be unable to release the nation of Riga in any way, shape or form. It had been annexed and I wanted to re-release it for the Imperial Authority and whatnot, but the option was not appearing in the peace deal menu. I can't figure out why not - they still had the core on riga, and riga didn't exist anywhere else, so I don't known why I couldn't do it. So, I just made them cede the province to me, in the hopes that I would release it as a vassal myself, but I still couldn't do that! is there something I'm missing here?
