Hey everyone, im needing some help, im not completely new to this game but still have much to learn. Im playing as Austria and im in a personal union with Brandenburg, how do i get to claim Brandenburg for myself? if the ruler of Brandenburg dies does that mean i get control over it? Also what is the difference between centralisation and decentralisation? and which is better to go with? ive heard decentralisation is best so ive been going with that, but, i just want to make sure thats best. If someone could help me with these questions id be very greatful! :)

Since you haven't registered your game we can't tell which version you're playing. That matters because the answers to these questions are different in different versions.

If you're in a personal union there's a small chance (10%, I believe) that you'll annex the other country each time your king dies. However if relations fall below zero the personal union will end instead. Later versions of the game also give an option to incorporate the other country into your own after 50 years - but this isn't as good as inheriting it because it doesn't give cores.

As for your other question it's the other way around. In most versions of the game centralisation is almost always better than decentralisation. The only thing to look out for is that moving the slider towards centralisation can cause a large revolt, which is dangerous in the early game if you're small.

For Brandenburg, If you are the senior in the Union, then the only way to integrate them is by luck. A high prestige, Diplomatic skill and low infamy make it easier. You and Brandenburg share the same king. so your king has to die, not theirs. To get more Diplomatic skill, form a sphere of influence. Go to the smaller nations and expand Influence to them.

as for the Difference between Central and Decentral, Centralized is the better of the two.
It allows for Better supplies production, ALOT more money, More magistrates, and it makes your spies better. as well as reduces inflation.
Centralized
Decentralized
Production Efficiency: +15.0%
Production Efficiency: -15.0%
National Tax Modifier: +20.0%
National Tax Modifier: -20.0%
Yearly Magistrates: +0.50 /+1.00
Inflation Reduction: +0.05
Maximum War Exhaustion: +2.00
Maximum War Exhaustion: -2.00
National Spy Defense: +5.0%
National Spy Defense: -5.0%
Spy Efficiency: +5.0%
Spy Efficiency: -5.0%

The only thing is, Its the hardest slider to move and causes the worst side effects when in use. Such as Rebels, huge stability hits. Either way, its worth it in the end.
