That depends on what you call rational. Pre-ordering, buying on day one, buying on a random date 4 weeks after launch or waiting till the Steamsales can all be rational, depending on their argumentations. Please do not project your prejudices on other people.a free copy of CK2 would make a preorder a rational choice to a certain extent. Day 1 DLCs and other clutter do not.
