Just to put something in perspective, this is a 24 hour video showing all the vehicles of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).
It is using real GPS data. The tiny black dots are individual buses, the colored fat bars are metro trains. You really should watch this in HD on vimeo. SD doesn't do it justice.

I thought it was a really cool insight in how real transit systems work, and what we should strive to achieve in our own virtual transit systems.
Also maybe a hint to CIM to implement time-based scheduling system in CIM2. Or at least a 24 hr simulation with day/night cycle
And allow us to schedule vehicles and routes individually.
