The Second Burma War: Part Two and After
1838-1840
As the British Forces pushed towards the capital, The Burmese were quickly recruiting new divisions for the Legions. The soldiers were still putting up a fight against the British but they seemingly kept on pushing.
Finally, On September 22nd 1838, The British entered Province of Mandalay and moved into the Capital, However, The British were met with a Two Divisions. Sadly, The Burmese didn't stand a chance against the superior firepower of the 4 Divisions of British Soldiers.
The Fall of Mandaly
Mandalay fell within a day, The Great Capital of Burma was overtaken by the British. However, Tharawaddy, Stationed in Shan was detirmened to continue putting up a fight and launched another campaign, Focusing Two Legions and 2 Divisions onto the Capital. Tharawaddy launched the attack a day later, In about two days, The Burmese Soldiers were back in Mandalay, Fighting for the heart of their country. Other mini campaigns occured for about a half of year, Until June of 1839.
However, Suprisingly The British offered a peace treaty a day later, Hoping to end the seemingly becoming stale mate. The Treaty granted Burma Arakan, Assam and the Tennaerrim Coast and making the 96th Longitude line as the line of amesty. In return, Burma would end all military campaigns for Ten Years and pay 2000 currency. Tharawaddy refused to accept at first, But soon reliazed the importance of the treaty. One June 9th, He signed it. Ending the Second Burma war. Casulties were small for the British, But the Burmese suffered around 120,000 dead in the war.

A Parade was latter held in Mandalay, The Burmese people belived peace was at hand.
But Later in the Month of August, A Revolt occured at Rangoon, Tharawaddy immediatly sent a Division to stop it, But by the time they got there, It was too late as the Rebellion spread, After a long fight with the rebels, The Burmese divison was defeated. Tharawaddy was shocked and then sent the Assamese Legion, A Veteran legionn from the war to put it down. The Revolt ended later in August.
Now after Months of fighting, Peace was at hand for the Burmese People and the long road to rebuilding began, But, Burma would soon meet more Common Enemies and threats...
