Credit goes to u/Stelith61 on r/CitiesSkylines for posting this:

http://www.cbrd.co.uk/interchanges/

A bunch of interchanges with explanations of the pros, cons, and a simple diagram on their construction. All driving on the proper side of the road.
It also has a page for the worst interchanges in Britain. (http://www.cbrd.co.uk/badjunctions/) and other stuff I'm too simple to understand.

I can't wait to try recreating and experimenting with different designs!

Just looking at these makes my head hurt!

PS are they houses under the some of the elevated ramps (third pic bottom left)...

They make Australia's biggest interchange look like child's play!

For now.. I do not understand why people are excited about making interchanges like this because you all seem to miss one big point here: There are no merging lanes in the game: A fundamental part of having a flawless interchange. Otherwise you could just make a normal crossing.. because now there are lik 10 crossings... The current connection node types that are used in cities in motion do not support merging lanes and therefore, the intersection will look strange. What i mean is :

compare that to:

I've rarely see a interchange with 90 degree perpendicular to the road exits.
I'm really excited about the game but this particular part.. yeah made me really sad. Because road networks are fundamental for good looking city simulators.

Merging lanes would be great! +1

I already picked my favourite interchanges :)

I have to test which one works better. They don't look super exciting, but I want to build as effective as possible.

My favourite junction:

The most awesome one is the turbine, but it's kinda hard to build with perfect proportions. :D

this would probably require some puzzle objects ;) It's difficult to create exits in such a small angle with normal road tools

yeah that intersection was fake... its noticeable, specially that u dont see the proper shadows. its a modification of a LA intersection.

Whats was said, the current highway in system its a bit unreal, there arent nice access/exit ramps and merge lanes. But i read somewhere that modders can add rodas as well to the game. Before the haters shows up, games like Cities XL and SC4 didnt have a nice highway system and the modders added really good additions to the game

Yeah its a bit sad we dont have something realistic but at least we have something. I remember what a pain in the ass was to use NAM in SC4, so many parts to make what you wanted.

I think Citybound will make a very good road system, if you guys already saw the video you can add lanes to an existing road so that marging lanes will be possible. I think its my second biggest hype after Skyline. :)
