The description for the barrels says that a tank is mobile artilery.
But in game all it uses is automobiles.
The factory-input file should be altered to look like this
barrel_factory = {
automobiles = 1
artillery = 1
steel = 5
}
instead of like this
barrel_factory = {
automobiles = 1
}
The artillery is the turrent and the steel is the armor.
Does anyone else think this make sense?

The earliest British tanks were heavily influenced by naval sources, and were thus heavy on the artillery. Those British tanks were massive, with a crew of something like twelve, and big naval guns.

The first tanks were not envisioned as a blitzkreig device. They were land battleships in the eyes of many. Definatly not equal to one car. :D

However, the French tanks (which came quickly after) were quite quick for the day and had a very small crew. They also brought about the renovation of a movable turrent.

Yes, quite true. The German attempts at tanks, however, were modeled after the British tanks, since the Germans stole broken British tanks and did some reverse engineering. I believe the German tanks were even bigger.

"even bigger" is an understatement. The German Tank was so friggin big, they couldnt devize a motor strong enough to move the thing basically. It looked like a WWI era Tank the size of a Destroyer basically :p

Maybe 1 automobile, 1 steel, and 1 artillery, and 1 small arms should be combined to make 1 tank. I like the idea of adding steel and guns to the cars, but 5 steel is a little overboard.

Tanks were originally called Landships, as well.
