I really like the idea of Avar restoration starting as Bihar. It's one of my favorite starts. There's just one thing though - the Avars, unlike their Bulgar, Magyar, or Turkic brethren really have no flavor if they settle. So, I just want to make a few adjustments. Either a quick guide on how I can do it myself, or someone who would like to do it and share it around, would be appreciated.
So, if Avars control land in the de jure kingdoms of Pannonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, or Serbia, and are settled (and Christian?), Avar provinces would start flipping to a South Slavic melting pot culture. Naming is probably simple like "Avarian" or something, and localisation would just be basic South Slavic stuff with maybe some Altaic things thrown in.
