1st off this game is an AMAZING achievement. Wow! I doubt a more complex warfare simulation has ever existed. I have one major issue that is not a bug but is MORE frustrating than even the supply drag bug (Thanks for fixing it so I can take africa with italy now)
Manual Override for division orders that are under AI control objectives.
Please allow this as it gets sooooo tedious to detatch my armoured divisions to get them to syncronized attack every 30 secs then reattach them to get the HQ bonuses.
Right now when I set my army group to AI control with the objective of "Attack Capitol" I am 90% happy with it but some times I need to counter a counter attack with a Corps or Divsion sized override of AI control. To so this I am forced to remove the unit(s) from AI control, give it an order, then re-attach it. This is a VERY TEDIOUS manual step and I would rather be able to give any unit under AI control one (1) order (possibly with a limited time period) that it will then follow and afterwards return to full AI control.
This seems like a much better way to manage tactics. I can so, "Yo Army go take poland." And for 90% of the divisions I am happy with the tactics chosen but sometimes I need to override PART of the AI control for certain units. I would LOVE to have a better way to do this.
2. Game slider for Historical Accuracy vs. Full AI choice: This would accept diplomacy and alignment so we can choose to have alternate scenarios where the US may join axis in some games vs guidelines that nudge the AI via behind the scenes influence into historical actions. That we we get best of both worlds depending on what the play wants
3. Bring back the setting for AI aggressivness: I've played several games on normal diff where France is at war with me with 5 divisions to my 1 on my borders yet it never attacks.
4. Syncronized attacks don't always syncronize. I had this happen when attacking from two diff side of madrid.
1. While I can agree that an override would be nice, it really is only necessary if you do Theatre AI Control. Just create another army group to hold the forces you want to command. Then you can trade your forces between the two command chains to retain your command bonus whether you hvae them under AI controlor your control.
2. A bit beyond the scope of this patch.
3. There could be dozens of reasons why the AI would or would not attack. Single province versus single provinces comparisons don't mean anything.
4. I'd report it as a bug, but some variable timing would be nice. You could never coordinate things perfectly in the field.
