You might be right, Untermensch, but I'd nevertheless like to hear about the rares in petsamo. I mean, there was rather a lot of that stuff in there. Enough at least to have three great powers involved.

Better an Axis Netherlands w/o rares than a neutral Netherlands funneling 40 rares (80 ICs) into Germany, and no way to block it (land connection Amsterdamn / Berlin). Perhaps that should be scripted into the game for AI England?

Some ruthless player might do that, but an AI shouldn't; they might as well declare on Sweden/Turkey/Spain for trading with Germany, and that never happened. And if the AI's still not very good at amphibious invasions, ENG's not going to need more enemies in Malaya.

Didn't Britain, in the latter half of the Great War, extend it's blockade of German shipping to include Netherlands because it was trading with Germany?

The resources are more spread out now, rares exist everywhere but really big piles where historic production was high.
